Luo Jiefa was born into an ordinary farming family on the border of Jiangxi and Hunan provinces. His family was poor and he lost his mother at the age of 6. He was raised by his father. In the difficult growing environment, he developed excellent qualities of hard work, perseverance, and self-improvement. When he tried to become a tailor apprentice and escape poverty, he saw people around him selling firecrackers to get rich. At this moment, he realized that relying solely on manual labor could only solve the problem of food and clothing. If he wanted to truly become wealthy and lead his fellow villagers on the road to prosperity, he could only take the path of business. So he started working in the firecracker industry, accumulating a certain amount of capital. At the same time as operating firecrackers, they also began to operate small household appliances, fabrics, and so on. After several years of hard work, Luo Jiefa, with his steady operation and pragmatic progress, has completed the necessary accumulation of primitive capital for development.
The town of Paishang, where Luo Jiefa resides, is rich in mineral resources. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Paishang Village established an iron ore company.
